What information do I need when I order?

As soon as the baby arrives, you can place an order by calling us directly.  A typical stork bundle comes with the baby’s first and middle names, weight, length, and date of birth.  However, the bundles can be customized to your liking.  We also need you to provide us with the delivery address and phone number.

How far in advance should I order?

Storks by the Sea strives to deliver your sign within 48 hours of placing an order. You may order a sign in advance to reserve your sign, including the baby’s expected due date. Notify us when the baby arrives and we will schedule a delivery time. We receive orders 24/7, so contact us whenever you’re ready.

Where does Storks by the Sea deliver?
We Deliver to all of Rhode Island! We provide free delivery to locations within a 15-mile radius of our office in East Greenwich.

We deliver to Barrington, Bristol, Burrillville, Charlestown, Coventry, Cranston, Cumberland, East Greenwich, East Providence, Exeter, Foster, Glocester, Hopkinton, Jamestown, Johnston, Lincoln, Little Compton, Middletown, Narragansett, Newport, North Kingstown, North Providence, North Smithfield, Portsmouth, Providence, Richmond, Scituate, Smithfield, South Kingstown, Tiverton, Warren, Warwick, Westerly, West Greenwich, West Warwick, and Woonsocket.

We also deliver to Southern Massachusetts and Northern Connecticut!

Is there a delivery charge?

We provide free delivery to locations within a 15-mile radius of our nest in East Greenwich. A $15 delivery fee applies for locations 16-25 miles from our home base. $20 for deliveries 26-30 miles from our nest. Greater than 30 miles, please call for a quote.

How does the baby shower rental work?

We offer $60/day rentals of our signs for baby showers and gender reveal. For gender reveal the bundle will be covered in burlap with a blue and pink bow. Once you open the burlap it will read, “It’s a Girl!” or “It’s a Boy!”. For showers the bundle will read The baby shower is here!”. We also offer these storks for a baby naming or bris party.

What do you offer for the grandparents?

A grandparent sign is a regular stork rental and comes with a generic bundle (“It’s a Grandson” or “It’s a Granddaughter”) and is not a keepsake. If the grandparent prefers a customized/and or keepsake bundle, additional charging may apply.

Does someone need to be home when the stork is delivered?

There is no need for someone to be home when your stork yard sign is delivered or picked up.

Where will you place the sign in the yard?

We use our best judgment regarding sign placement to ensure optimal visibility. If there is a specific spot you would like for the sign to be placed, please notify us when you place your order and we will do our best to accommodate your request.

If the stork is a gift, how will the family know who it came from?

When a stork is rented as a gift, a card will be left for the new parents that announces who sent it.

Can I mow around, or attach anything to the yard signs?

We ask that you do not attempt to move your stork. Please use extreme caution when mowing or weed eating near the sign as damage can occur if any contact is made with the sign. Do not attach anything to the sign, including balloons. If a balloon was to pop, the sun would melt the latex into the sign causing permanent damage.

What happens if the yard sign gets damaged?

If you notice any damage on the sign please notify us immediately at 401-372-7462. Our signs are durable and weather-resistant. However, the signs are not designed for climbing so please do not allow anyone to play on or near the sign.

Can you accommodate special requests?

Absolutely. We will do everything we can to help you celebrate your new loved one! Let us know what you have in mind.

What is your refund policy?

You will receive a full refund if any of the following apply:

  • You cancel your stork birth announcement lawn sign rental at least 24 hours in advance
  • Extreme weather conditions prevent us from setting up your birth announcement sign

You will not receive a refund if any of the following apply:

  • We are unable to get into a gated community because we weren’t given a gate code or the gate code doesn’t work
  • The security guard at a gated community refuses to allow us entry
  • The homeowner or recipient does not allow us to set up the birth announcement lawn sign or calls us to request that we pick up the sign prior to the end of the 7 day rental period
  • If an animal is threatening and refuses to allow us onto the property
